If you search the text in the AboutMe managed property in a SharePoint Server 2007 site, no results are returned
If you search the text in the AboutMe managed property in a
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 site, no results are returned. For
example, you enter the following search:
AboutMe:veterinary
This search does not display results for users whose AboutMe
description is "veterinary" or "I worked as a veterinary until last year."
To resolve this issue, install both the hotfix package that
is described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 961750 and the hotfix
package that is described in KB961749, and then configure the AboutMe managed
property.

Configuration Needed
After you install these hotfixes, you must enable the indexing of
the AboutMe property as a managed property. The
indexing is performed
programmatically by setting the FullTextQueriable Boolean
property to
true for the AboutMe managed property.
The FullTextQueriable
property is documented at the following Microsoft site:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
