In Windows Vista, you open a Microsoft Office PowerPoint
2007 presentation that uses a special font. If the font does not exist on the
computer, the presentation displays two lines instead of one
line.

Description of the Excel 2007 hotfix package (Oart.msp, Oartconv.msp): February 24, 2009
- Set the
GELUseGDIChooseUnknownFont
registry
entry. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click
Run, type regedit, and then click
OK.
- Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\
- On the Edit menu, point to
New, and then click Key.
- Type GELPrefs, and then press
ENTER.
- Right-click GELPrefs, point to
New, and then click DWORD Value.
- Type GELUseGDIChooseUnknownFont,
and then press ENTER.
- Right-click
GELUseGDIChooseUnknownFont, and then click
Modify.
- In the Value data box,
type 1, and then click OK.
- Exit Registry Editor.
