The filter daemon process crashes when Office SharePoint Server 2007 crawls Office 2007 documents
The filter daemon process crashes when Microsoft Office SharePoint
Server 2007 crawls Office 2007 documents. This issue does not occur with Office
2003 documents.
This issue occurs because the Office 2007 MIME type string
length is longer than 31 characters.
To resolve this issue, apply both the following updates:
