INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

You install the hotfix package that is described in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) 968850. When you click Site Action on a SharePoint site, the Site Action menu is expanded to the same width as the Web page.
Consider the following scenario:
- On a Windows SharePoint Service 3.0 site, you use a SharePoint list that uses lookup columns. These lookup columns display content from another document library.
- You have more than 1000 items in the SharePoint list, and each of these list items has unique permissions.
When the list item count exceeds 1000 items, the lookup columns cannot retrieve data from the document library. In this scenario, the lookup columns return empty fields.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problems described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
