You cannot create query restrictions on Boolean-managed properties that have Yes/No restrictions or that have True/False restrictions in SharePoint sites

SYMPTOMS

Windows SharePoint Services 3.0

You cannot create query restrictions on Boolean-managed properties that have Yes/No restrictions or that have True/False restrictions in SharePoint sites. For example, if you create a query with the value fooboolean=true, and then you run the query, it returns no documents.

Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a new Boolean-managed property that has a Yes/No restriction.
  • You mark the Boolean-managed property to be used in scopes.
  • You map the Boolean-managed property to a crawled Boolean property that has a Yes/No restriction.
  • You create a scope on the Boolean-managed property and then you compile the new scope.
When you perform a crawl, the item count column for the new scope contains the word "error" instead of the item count of the items that match the scope rule.

Also, you cannot create query restrictions on Boolean-managed properties that have Yes/No restrictions or that have True/False restrictions in SharePoint sites. For example, if you create a query with the value fooboolean=true, and then you run the query, it returns no documents.
