The EventReceiverInfo rule in Pre-Upgrade Checker for
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 provides information about event
receivers that are referenced in a farm. These event receivers must be
installed on a farm that is running the next version release that supersedes
Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for the
farm to operate correctly after an upgrade.
Note The EventReceiverInfo rule ships in the Windows SharePoint
Services 3.0 cumulative update that was released in October 2009. The EventReceiverInfo
rule is not part of the original release of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 2.
When you run Pre-Upgrade Checker, the EventReceiverInfo rule
provides information about event receiver assemblies. The following is an
example of the message that you receive:
Assembly =
Assembly name, Version = Assembly
version, Culture = Assembly culture,
PublicKeyToken = Assembly public key token, Count
= Count, Status =
Installed/Missing
If the missing files are listed, you can
perform one of the following actions:
- Install the missing files on the server before you perform
an in-place upgrade.
- Build a new farm with the listed files
installed.
- Remove the content that references the missing
files.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
