The SharePoint search results in a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site displays the size of the Welcome page as zero (0) bytes and displays an incomplete URL for the Welcome page
When you search for the Welcome page in a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site by using Out Of Box searching, the size of the Welcome page is displayed as zero (0) bytes in the Search Results page. Additionally, the search results display only the site Unique Resource Location (URL) of the Welcome page instead of the full URL.
To resolve this issue, apply the following updates:
