There are no Office Communications Server 2007 events in the MOM 2005 Operator console
Consider the following scenario:
- You install Microsoft Office Communications Server (also known as OCS) 2007.
- You install the Speech Server component of OCS 2007.
- You install Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005.
- You import version 2.0.61363.0 of the Speech Server 2007 Management Pack for MOM 2005.
- You start the MOM 2005 Operator console.
In this scenario, there are no Office Communications Server 2007 events in the MOM 2005 Operator console.
This issue occurs when MOM 2005 is configured to monitor incorrect computer groups. For example, this issue occurs when MOM 2005 is configured to monitor the Microsoft Speech Server computer group.
To resolve this issue, configure MOM 2005 to monitor the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server computer group. To do this, change the text string in the
Computer Group dialog box to
Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005
- Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Speech Server

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
