You cannot open a Publisher file that contains corrupted OLE objects in Windows 7
You cannot open a Microsoft Publisher file that contains corrupted OLE objects on a computer that is running Windows 7. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Publisher cannot open the file.
You can open this file in another version of Windows. However, you may receive the following error message when you try to save the file as a Publisher file:
The disk is full trying to write filepath. Save this file on a different disk and/or drive.

This problem occurs because Windows 7 has a new validation process for OLE objects. Windows 7 detects a corrupted file when you try to open the file. If there are any corrupted OLE objects in the file, Windows 7 rejects the file.
To work around this problem, open the corrupted file in another version of Windows. Then, use one of the following methods:
Method 1Delete the OLE objects, and then save the file as a Publisher file.
Method 2Do not save the file as a Publisher file. For example, save the file in the .pdf file format.
OLE is a program-integration technology that you can use to share information between programs. OLE objects in Publisher can range from an Excel spreadsheet to a PowerPoint presentation to a bitmap image.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
