Microsoft has released a Microsoft security advisory about this issue for IT professionals. The security advisory contains additional security-related information. To view the security advisory, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/980088.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/980088.mspx)

To have us fix this problem for you, go to the "Fix it for me" section. If you would rather fix this problem yourself, see the workaround section in the security advisory (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/980088.mspx) .

Fix it for me

To fix this problem automatically, click the Fix this problem link under the "Enable Network Protocol Lockdown" heading. Then, click Run in the File Download dialog box and follow the steps in the wizard.

To undo the fix and restore the original settings, click the Fix this problem link under the "Disable Network Protocol Lockdown" heading. Then, click Run in the File Download dialog box and follow the steps in the wizard.

Microsoft has tested the following workarounds. Although these workarounds will not correct the underlying vulnerability, they help block known attack vectors. For more information about the workarounds, see the security advisory (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/advisory/980088.mspx) .

Community Feedback System

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back. Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what didn't.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry edits), please consult a professional.

Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
