Description of the Project Server 2007 hotfix package (Pjsrvapp-x-none.msp; Pjsrvwfe-x-none.msp): April 27, 2010
This article
describes the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 issue that is fixed in the
Project Server 2007 hotfix package that is dated April 27,
2010.
This article describes the following items about the hotfix package:
- The issues that the hotfix package fixes.
- The prerequisites for installing the hotfix
package.
- Whether you must restart the computer after you install
the hotfix package.
- Whether the hotfix package is replaced by any other
hotfix packages.
- Whether you must make any registry changes.
- The files that the hotfix package contains.
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
- When you add custom fields in
a task and make them available on the Approval
Preview page, some custom fields in the task are not
displayed.
- You have task that meets the following conditions:
- The task is set to 100% Complete.
- The task contains a split. This means that work occurs
in more than one segment.
- The task has an Enterprise Task Custom Field (ETCF).
When that associated ETCF is updated through the Project
Server Interface (PSI), the task duration is recalculated incorrectly.
- You save tasks from Microsoft Office Project 2007 to a
computer that is running Microsoft Office Project Server 2007. When you reopen
the project later, the tasks are not in the same order that you left
them.
- When a timesheet is created on behalf of another user, the
custom field data in the timesheet is not available.
- If you add incremental actuals as a nondefault assignment
owner, actual data is lost.
- When you accept updates for previously completed tasks
without an assignment in Project Server, the task assignment may be extended
past the finish date. This gives the task a trailing split and marks the task
as less than 100% completed.
- Baseline values for a project summary task are not updated
in the Project Web Access (PWA) views when you republish the project from the
client computer.
- The Statusing.ReadStatusApprovalDetails Web service method
returns incorrect data if the task data for the assignment is not
updated.
- Consider the following scenario. You use the
ReviewTimesheet Web part
to review multiple timesheet approvals. When you move between
timesheet approvals, you enable or you disable the viewing of timesheet header
information. Then, you approve the displayed timesheet. In this scenario, when
you check the queue, there is a blocking timesheet job and the timesheets are
not approved.
- When a user has an assignment with a complex actual work
contour,
the processing of the new contour may cause the job to be stuck in the queue at
40% when the status update is processed.
- When Project Server 2007 is installed on a computer that is
running Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, the ActiveX control on the
Task Updates page displays the following message and the data never loads
up:
Loading Grid
This issue also
occurs in the ActiveX control on the Resource Center view.
- A sub project could not be saved after you open and save
the master project and the sub project at the same time and the same client.
- The start date of a task moves unexpectedly to an earlier
date when you accept certain updates.

Hotfix information
A recently discovered issue affecting Project plans that contain baselines was fixed and included in the Project Server 2007 February 2011 cumulative update package. This issue was traced back to have originated in the Project Server 2007 April 2010 cumulative update package. As our cumulative updates are incremental, this issue also affected the June, August, October, and December server updates.Â
We recommend that customers install the latest cumulative update packages that are described in KB953878. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
