In Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query performance may decrease after you apply SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (SP2) Cumulative Update 7 or a later version. For example, before you apply SQL Server 2005 SP2 Cumulative Update 7 or a later version, a query should be finished within one minute or less. However, after you apply SQL Server 2005 SP2 Cumulative Update 7 or a later version, the query may take more than 10 minutes to complete.
Note The issue occurs when a cross join is set in the query.
