Crop values that are applied to pictures in picture placeholders are cleared after you reset the slide layout in PowerPoint 2010 or in Office PowerPoint 2007

SYMPTOMS

After you click Reset in the Slides group to reset the slide layout in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 or in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, the crop values that are applied to pictures in picture placeholders are cleared. The crop values are reset to the default crop values after you click Reset.

Note This issue only occurs with the Picture with Caption layout.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, do not reset the slide layout if you want to keep the crop settings on pictures in picture placeholders.
